ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION—Providing for the compensation of the clergy
for services rendered to the Assembly and the Senate during the 70th session of the Nevada
Legislature.

Whereas, The members of the 70th session of the Nevada Legislature1-2
have been sincerely appreciative of the daily religious services rendered by1-3
members of the clergy representing various denominations; and1-4
Whereas, The invocations offered by the clergy provided inspiration1-5
and guidance for the members of the Nevada Legislature as they faced the1-6
challenges and demands of the 70th session; and1-7
Whereas, A reasonable compensation should be provided for the1-8
clergy who performed such services; now, therefore, be it2-1
Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the Senate2-2
Concurring, That the State Controller is authorized and directed to pay2-3
the sum of $35 per service out of the legislative fund to the members of the2-4
clergy who have performed religious services for the Assembly and the2-5
Senate during the 70th session of the Nevada Legislature.~
