ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONProviding for the compensation of the clergy

for services rendered to the Assembly and the Senate during the 70th session of the Nevada

Legislature.

1-1 Whereas, The members of the 70th session of the Nevada Legislature

1-2 have been sincerely appreciative of the daily religious services rendered by

1-3 members of the clergy representing various denominations; and

1-4 Whereas, The invocations offered by the clergy provided inspiration

1-5 and guidance for the members of the Nevada Legislature as they faced the

1-6 challenges and demands of the 70th session; and

1-7 Whereas, A reasonable compensation should be provided for the

1-8 clergy who performed such services; now, therefore, be it

2-1 Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, the Senate

2-2 Concurring, That the State Controller is authorized and directed to pay

2-3 the sum of $35 per service out of the legislative fund to the members of the

2-4 clergy who have performed religious services for the Assembly and the

2-5 Senate during the 70th session of the Nevada Legislature.
