ASSEMBLY JOINT RESOLUTION—Proposing to amend the Constitution of the State of
Nevada to require each regular session of the Legislature to commence on the first Monday in
March.

Resolved by the Assembly and Senate of the State of Nevada,1-2
Jointly, That section 2 of article 4 of the Constitution of the State of1-3
Nevada be amended to read as follows: Sec. 2. 1. The sessions of the Legislature shall be biennial, and shall1-5
commence on the 1st Monday of1-6
of members of the Assembly, unless the Governor of the State shall, in the1-7
interim, convene the Legislature by proclamation.1-8
2. The Legislature shall adjourn sine die each regular session not later1-9
than midnight Pacific standard time 120 calendar days following its1-10
commencement. Any legislative action taken after midnight Pacific1-11
standard time on the 120th calendar day is void, unless the legislative1-12
action is conducted during a special session convened by the Governor.1-13
3. The Governor shall submit the proposed executive budget to the1-14
Legislature not later than 14 calendar days before the commencement of1-15
each regular session.~
