1-1 Whereas, The Nevada Legislature undertakes an enormous task every

1-2 2 years in the performance of its legislative duties on behalf of the residents

1-3 of the State of Nevada; and

1-4 Whereas, The smooth and efficient operation of the Nevada

1-5 Legislature is largely dependent upon the abilities of the members of its

1-6 staff; and

1-7 Whereas, This legislative session is the first session limited to 120

1-8 days, and this limitation places many extra demands on the staff by

1-9 requiring them to learn and assimilate new skills at an accelerated rate and

1-10 to process their work even more efficiently; and

1-11 Whereas, The bill clerks, secretaries, sergeants at arms, and clerical

1-12 and support staff who serve as attachés of the Assembly have worked

1-13 diligently and efficiently in their service to the members of the Assembly;

1-14 now, therefore, be it

1-15 Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, That the

1-16 members of the Assembly of the 70th session of the Nevada Legislature do

1-17 hereby express their sincere appreciation and commend the outstanding

2-28 Resolved, That April 21, 1999, is hereby designated as Assembly Staff

2-29 Appreciation Day in recognition of the dedicated and excellent service the

2-31 the residents of the State of Nevada; and be it further

2-32 Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly prepare and transmit a

2-33 copy of this resolution to each member of the Assembly staff commended

2-34 in this resolution.
