AN ACT relating to roads; requiring Clark County to provide for certain U-turns on West Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. The board of county commissioners of Clark County

1-2 shall, as soon as practicable, take all actions necessary to cause appropriate

1-3 openings or crossing places, and all other necessary modifications to

1-4 existing traffic lanes, signs and signals, to be made on West Desert Inn

1-5 Road, approximately 660 feet east of Valley View Boulevard, in Las

1-6 Vegas, sufficient to allow both eastbound and westbound vehicles on West

1-7 Desert Inn Road to make a U-turn safely at that location.

1-8 2. As used in this section, "U-turn" has the meaning ascribed to it in

1-9 NRS 484.216.

1-10 Sec. 2. The provisions of subsection 1 of NRS 354.599 do not apply to

1-11 any additional expenses of a local government that are related to the

1-12 provisions of this act.

1-13 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
