THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 484.324 is hereby amended to read as follows: 484.324 1. The driver of a motor vehicle shall not:1-3
(a) Intentionally interfere with the movement of a person lawfully riding1-4
a bicycle; or1-5
(b) Overtake and pass a person riding a bicycle unless he can do so1-6
safely without endangering the person riding the bicycle.1-7
2. The driver of a motor vehicle shall yield the right of way to any1-8
person riding a bicycle on the pathway or lane. The driver of a motor1-9
vehicle shall not stop, stand, park or drive within a pathway or lane1-10
provided for bicycles except:1-11
(a) When preparing to make or making a turn;1-12
(b) When entering or exiting an alley or driveway;1-13
(c) When operating or parking a disabled vehicle;1-14
(d) To avoid conflict with other traffic;1-15
(e) In the performance of official duties;1-16
(f) In compliance with the directions of a police officer; or1-17
(g) In an emergency.2-1
3. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the driver of a motor2-2
vehicle shall not enter or proceed through an intersection while driving2-3
within a pathway or lane provided for bicycles.2-4
4. The driver of a motor vehicle shall:2-5
(a) Exercise due care to avoid a collision with a person riding a bicycle;2-6
and2-7
(b) Give an audible warning with the horn of the vehicle if appropriate2-8
and when necessary to avoid such a collision.2-9

(a) Intentionally interfere with the movement of a motor vehicle; or2-11
(b) Overtake and pass a motor vehicle unless he can do so safely without2-12
endangering himself or the occupants of the motor vehicle.~
