1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the interim finance committee for distribution to Douglas County the sum

1-3 of $2,800,000 for improvements to and the expansion of the China Spring

1-4 Youth Camp including:

1-5 1. The construction of a new 24-bed female juvenile dormitory;

1-6 2. The construction of a new 40-bed male juvenile dormitory;

1-7 3. The construction of an administration building; and

1-8 4. Improvements to the septic system to handle the increased

1-9 population.

1-10 Sec. 2. The interim finance committee shall distribute to Douglas

1-11 County an amount equal to the actual cost for the work performed up to the

1-12 amount appropriated pursuant to section 1 of this act after it receives a

1-13 report from Douglas County of the work performed and the actual cost for

1-14 that work.

1-15 Sec. 3. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-16 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after the projects are

1-17 completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of

1-18 money committed have been made.

2-1 Sec. 4. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
