THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 244.367 is hereby amended to read as follows: 244.367 1. The board of county commissioners shall have power and1-3
jurisdiction in their respective counties to pass ordinances prohibiting,1-4
restricting, suppressing or otherwise regulating the sale, use, storage and1-5
possession of fireworks, and providing penalties for the violation thereof.1-6
2. An ordinance passed pursuant to subsection 1 must provide that1-7
any license or permit that may be required for the sale of fireworks must1-8
be issued by the licensing authority for:1-9
(a) The county, if the fireworks are sold within the unincorporated1-10
areas of the county; or1-11
(b) A city located within the county, if the fireworks are sold within the1-12
jurisdiction of that city.1-13
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
