AN ACT making a supplemental appropriation to the fund for class-size reduction for additional anticipated expenses; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the fund for class-size reduction, created by NRS 388.730, the sum of

1-3 $15,440,452 for additional anticipated expenses. This appropriation is

1-4 supplemental to that made by section 2 of chapter 245, Statutes of Nevada

1-5 1997, at page 868.

1-6 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the supplemental appropriation

1-7 made by section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after

1-8 June 30, 1999, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments

1-9 of money committed have been made.

1-10 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
