CHAPTER........
AN ACT relating to gates that provide access for vehicular traffic; requiring that certain gates
comply with certain safety standards; and providing other matters properly relating
thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 405 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto a
new section to read as follows:
A gate that:
1. Operates by electrical power;
2. Provides access for vehicular traffic; and
3. Is installed on or after March 1, 2000,
must comply with the requirements of the Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
Standard for Safety 325, as published on September 18, 1998, and
effective on March 1, 2000.
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective on March 1, 2000.
