AN ACT relating to state financial administration; revising the provisions governing the National College of Juvenile and Family Law Endowment; making an appropriation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general

1-2 fund to the National College of Juvenile and Family Law the sum of

1-3 $303,600 to assist in securing public and private grants and other funding

1-4 for support during the 1999-2001 biennium.

1-5 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1

1-6 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and reverts to

1-7 the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have

1-8 been made.

1-9 Sec. 2. On June 30, 1999, the state controller shall transfer the sum of

1-10 $2,500,000 from the fund for the National College of Juvenile and Family

1-11 Law, created by NRS 1.480, to the state general fund.

1-12 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
