THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. NRS 571.160 is hereby amended to read as follows: 571.160 Whenever any livestock becomes infected with any infectious,1-3
contagious or parasitic disease as defined by rules and regulations adopted1-4
by the state quarantine officer, the owner or agent in charge, an inspector of1-5
the division or any practicing veterinarian shall immediately notify the state1-6
quarantine officer. A notification of disease received pursuant to this1-7
section must be kept confidential unless the reported disease is1-8
specifically regulated pursuant to NRS 571.130 for mandatory control1-9
and eradication to protect the public health, other livestock or wildlife.1-10
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.~
