AN ACT making an appropriation to the Office of Science, Engineering and Technology; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the Office of Science, Engineering and Technology, established by NRS

1-3 396.798, for operating and travel expenses and salaries for a director, full-

1-4 time staff assistant and half-time clerical position:

1-5 For the fiscal year 1999-2000 $280,081

1-6 For the fiscal year 2000-2001 $255,427

1-7 Sec. 2. Any balance of the sums appropriated by section 1 of this act

1-8 remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be committed

1-9 for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal years and reverts to the

1-10 state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been

1-11 made.

1-12 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
