AN ACT relating to telephone services; repealing the prospective expiration of certain provisions concerning the surcharge on telephone services in certain counties for the enhancement of the telephone systems for reporting emergencies in those counties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. Section 6 of chapter 427, Statutes of Nevada 1995, at page

1-2 1057, is hereby amended to read as follows:

1-3 Sec. 6. This act becomes effective on January 1, 1996 . [, and

1-4 expires by limitation on December 31, 1999.]

1-5 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
