AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Transportation for use with federal money for transportation programs for elderly persons and persons with disabilities; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the Department of Transportation the sum of $300,000 for use with federal

1-3 money received pursuant to 49 U.S.C. §§ 5310 and 5311, for operating

1-4 costs and the purchase of paratransit vehicles for transportation programs

1-5 for elderly persons and persons with disabilities.

1-6 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and

1-8 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9 committed have been made.

1-10 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
