AN ACT making appropriations to the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety for the costs of the VHF Highband Radio Project; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general

1-2 fund:

1-3 (a) The sum of $490,850 to the Division of Parole and Probation; and

1-4 (b) The sum of $48,000 to the Investigation Division,

1-5 of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety for the Phase II

1-6 costs of the VHF Highband Radio Project.

1-7 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1

1-8 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and reverts to

1-9 the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have

1-10 been made.

1-11 Sec. 2. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state highway fund:

1-12 (a) The sum of $8,246,739 to the Nevada Highway Patrol Division; and

1-13 (b) The sum of $49,450 to the Registration Division,

1-14 of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety for the Phase II

1-15 costs of the VHF Highband Radio Project.

2-1 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by subsection 1

2-2 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2001, and reverts to

2-3 the state highway fund as soon as all payments of money committed have

2-4 been made.

2-5 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
