SENATE JOINT RESOLUTIONProposing to amend the Constitution of the State of

Nevada to permit the Legislature to establish by special act a corporate state bank.

Resolved by the Senate and Assembly of the State of Nevada,

Jointly, That sections 1 and 9 of article 8 of the Constitution of the State

of Nevada be amended to read respectively as follows:

1-1 Section [.] 1. The Legislature shall not pass [no Special Act in any

1-2 manner] any special act relating to corporate powers except for [Municipal

1-3 purposes;] municipal purposes or to establish and provide for a bank

1-4 owned by the state; but corporations may be formed under general laws;

1-5 and all such laws may from time to time [,] be altered or repealed.

1-6 Sec . [:] 9. The State shall not donate or loan money, or its credit, or

1-7 subscribe to or be [,] interested in the Stock of any company, association,

1-8 or corporation, except corporations formed for educational or charitable

1-9 purposes [.] or a banking corporation owned by the state.
