SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION—Urging the members of the Nevada Congressional
Delegation to support legislation requiring a portion of the United States Constitution to
appear on the $1 Federal reserve note.

Whereas, It is important that Americans be aware of the significance1-2
of the Constitution of the United States; and1-3
Whereas, The appearance of a portion of the Constitution of the1-4
United States upon the $1 Federal reserve note would remind each person1-5
who uses the note of the historical significance of the Constitution and the1-6
current impact of the Constitution upon the life of that person; and1-7
Whereas, Congress is currently considering the enactment of the1-8
Liberty Dollar Bill Act, an act that requires a portion of the Constitution of1-9
the United States, specifically, the preamble, a list of the first 101-10
amendments and a list of the Articles, to appear on one side of the $11-11
Federal reserve note; now, therefore, be it1-12
Resolved by the Senate and Assembly of the State of Nevada,1-13
Jointly, That the Legislature of the State of Nevada urges each member1-14
of the Nevada Congressional Delegation to support legislation requiring a1-15
portion of the Constitution of the United States to appear on one side of the1-16
$1 Federal reserve note; and be it further1-17
Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate prepare and transmit a1-18
copy of this resolution to each member of the Nevada Congressional1-19
Delegation; and be it further2-1
Resolved, That this resolution becomes effective upon passage and2-2
approval.~
