SENATE RESOLUTIONInducting Zebedee "Zeb" Kendall into the Senate Hall of Fame.

1-1 Whereas, The Senate of the Legislature of the State of Nevada has

1-2 established a Senate Hall of Fame whose members are selected by

1-3 leadership from former state Senators who have served with distinction

1-4 with exemplary contributions to the State of Nevada; and

1-5 Whereas, Senator Zeb Kendall served as a representative of Nye

1-6 County in the Senate of the Nevada Legislature for 8 years from 1909

1-7 through 1916 and during his tenure served as Chairman of the committees

1-8 on Mines and Mining, Agriculture, Counties and County Boundaries,

1-9 Railroads, Internal Improvements and Manufactures, and Rules and Joint

1-10 Rules; and

1-11 Whereas, Senator Kendall introduced and helped secure the passage of

1-12 important legislation pertaining to mining claims and regulations,

1-13 telephone-telegraph franchises and requiring public water companies to

1-14 supply water for fire protection; now, therefore, be it

1-15 Resolved by the Senate of the State of Nevada, That Senator

1-16 Zebedee "Zeb" Kendall, a well-respected mining pioneer, civic leader and

1-17 Legislator, is hereby inducted into the Senate Hall of Fame of the

1-18 Legislature of the State of Nevada.
