The Committee on Judiciarywas called to order at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2001.  Chairman Bernie Anderson presided in the Chamber of the Assembly of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.

The meeting was called to order to reconsider a previous motion for S.B. 421.

 

Senate Bill 421:  Makes various changes to provisions governing common-interest communities. (BDR 10-446)

 

Chairman Anderson entertained a motion to amend the committee recommendation.

 

ASSEMBLYWOMAN OHRENSCHALL MOVED TO AMEND THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMITTEE TO AMEND, DO PASS AND RE-REFER S.B. 421 TO WAYS AND MEANS TO RECOMMEND TO RE-REFER S.B. 421 WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION BECAUSE THE LEGAL DIVISION DID NOT HAVE THE AMENDMENT PREPARED IN TIME.

 

ASSEMBLYWOMAN BUCKLEY SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY WITH ASSEMBLYMAN CARPENTER ABSENT FROM THE VOTE.

 

There being no further business, Chairman Anderson adjourned the meeting at 5:18 p.m.
