The Senate Committee on Human Resources and Facilitieswas called to order by Chairman Raymond D. Rawson, at 12:20 p.m., on Friday, May 25, 2001, in Room Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  Exhibit A is the Agenda.  Exhibit B is the Attendance Roster.  All exhibits are available and on file at the Research Library of the Legislative Counsel Bureau.

SENATE BILL 502:  Eliminates state job training office. (BDR 33-1314)

 

            SENATOR TOWNSEND MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 988 TO S.B. 502.

 

            SENATOR MATHEWS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS WASHINGTON AND WIENER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Chairman Rawson asked the committee to consider Assembly Amendment No. 879 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 236.

 

SENATE BILL 236:  Requires certain entities that employ children in entertainment industry to pay for tutoring. (BDR 34-1035)

 

            SENATOR AMODEI MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 879             TO S.B. 236.

 

            SENATOR MATHEWS SECONDED THE MOTION.

            SENATOR MATHEWS SECONDED THE MOTION.
