The Senate Committee on Human Resources and Facilitieswas called to order by Chairman Raymond D. Rawson, at 3:55 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman Rawson informed the committee of the Assembly Amendment No. 971 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 243.

 

SENATE BILL 243:  Makes various changes concerning charter schools. (BDR 34-348)

 

Chairman Rawson called for a motion to concur or not concur.

 

SENATOR WIENER MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 971  TO S.B. 243.

 

SENATOR TOWNSEND SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS WASHINGTON, AMODEI AND SCHNEIDER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Chairman Rawson informed the committee of the Assembly Amendment No. 1041 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 165.

 

SENATE BILL 165:  Makes various changes regarding education. (BDR 34-218)

 

Chairman Rawson called for a motion to concur or not concur.

 

SENATOR WIENER MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1041 TO S.B. 165.

 

SENATOR TOWNSEND SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR AMODEI WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
