The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter, at 2:22 p.m., on Thursday, May 31, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Senator Porter explained the committee needed to concur or not concur with Amendment No. 998 that the Assembly Committee on Elections, Procedures, and Ethics added to Senate Bill (S.B.) 65. He said the amendment states, “The chairmanship and vice chairmanship of the committee must alternate each biennium between the houses of the legislature.”
SENATE BILL 65: Makes various changes to provisions relating to legislative committee to study distribution among local governments of revenue from state and local taxes. (BDR 17-698)
SENATOR TITUS MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 998 TO S.B. 65.
SENATOR MATHEWS SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR RAWSON WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
