The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter, at 12:15 p.m., on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Senator Porter explained that there was a request for a committee bill draft request (BDR) to honor the Mineral County High School girl’s basketball team for winning 7 out of 8 of the Nevada State Girl’s Basketball Championships.

 

            SENATOR JAMES MOVED TO REQUEST A BILL DRAFT TO HONOR THE             MINERAL COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM.

 

            SENATOR RAGGIO SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR RAWSON WAS ABSENT FOR THE             VOTE.)

Senator Porter said BDR R-1491 is a resolution to recognize the seventieth anniversary of Boulder City and needs to be introduced.

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST R-1491:  Recognizes 70th anniversary of Boulder City.              (Later introduced as Senate Concurrent Resolution 20.)

 

            SENATOR JAMES MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR R-1491.

 

            SENATOR MATHEWS SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

            THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR RAWSON WAS ABSENT FOR THE             VOTE.)
