The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operationswas called to order by Chairman Jon C. Porter, at 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 22, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster.

Senator Porter explained that there was a bill draft request (BDR) to be introduced that honors the Mineral County High School girls’ basketball team for winning the 2000 and 2001 state championships.
BILL DRAFT REQUEST R-1499: Congratulates Mineral County High School girls’ basketball team for winning 2000 and 2001 state championships. (Later introduced as Senate Concurrent Resolution 30.)
SENATOR RAGGIO MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR R-1499.
SENATOR TITUS SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS RAWSON AND MATHEWS WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)

Senator Porter explained there was a BDR to introduce that requires the Legislative Auditor to obtain a private audit of the Clark County Emission Reduction Credit Program.
BILL DRAFT REQUEST R-1497: Requires Legislative Auditor to contract for audit of Emission Reduction Credit Program in Clark County. (Later introduced as Senate Bill 475.)
SENATOR TITUS MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR S-1497.
SENATOR WIENER SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR RAWSON WAS ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
