The Senate Committee on Taxationwas called to order by Chairman Mike McGinness, at 11:19 a.m., on Monday, March 26, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman McGinness called for committee introduction of Bill Draft Request (BDR) 32-342, BDR 32-1134, and BDR 32-1326.

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-342Revises provisions relating to assessment and collection of certain taxes remitted to each county.  (Later introduced as Senate Bill 529.)

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-1134:  Clarifies provisions relating to taxation of medical devices sold to governmental entities.  (Later introduced as Senate Bill 528.) 

 

BILL DRAFT REQUEST 32-1326:  Revises provisions governing licensing of cigarette dealers and taxation of cigarettes.  (Later introduced as Senate Bill 527.) 

 

           

SENATOR RHOADS MOVED TO INTRODUCE BDR 32-342, BDR 32-1134, AND BDR 32-1326.

 

SENATOR O’CONNELL SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS TOWNSEND, NEAL AND SCHNEIDER WERE ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
