The Senate Committee on Transportationwas called to order by Chairman William R. O'Donnell, at 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 29, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance Roster.

Chairman O’Donnell opened the floor meeting and referred to “Qualification and Disqualification of Drivers,” Title 49, part 391.11 (b) (2) of the Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.).  Chairman O’Donnell read the paragraph to help the committee members familiarize themselves with these regulations.

 

SENATE BILL 576:  Makes various changes to provisions governing fully regulated carriers. (BDR 58-1557)

 

SENATOR JACOBSEN MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS S.B. 576.

SENATOR AMODEI SECONDED THE MOTION.

 

THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATOR CARLTON VOTED NO.  SENATOR CARE ABSTAINED FROM THE VOTE.)
