O'Donnell, at 12:05 p.m., on Sunday, June 3, 2001, on the Senate Floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. All exhibits are available and on file at the Research Library of the Legislative Counsel Bureau.

Chairman O’Donnell opened the floor meeting on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 21.
ASSEMBLY BILL 21: Requires court to order person convicted of second offense of driving under influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled substance within 7 years to attend program of treatment for abuse of alcohol or drugs. (BDR 43-868)
SENATOR CARE MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 21.
SENATOR AMODEI SECONDED THE MOTION.

Chairman O’Donnell opened the floor session on A.B. 460.
ASSEMBLY BILL 460: Revises provisions governing remittance of fees collected by short-term lessors of passenger cars to department of taxation. (BDR 43-589)
Robert A. Ostrovsky, Lobbyist, The Hertz Corporation, presented a proposed amendment to A.B. 460 (Exhibit A).
SENATOR AMODEI MOVED TO ADOPT THE OSTROVSKY PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO A.B. 460.
SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION.

SENATOR AMODEI MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS AS AMENDED A.B. 460 WITH AFOREMENTIONED AMENDMENT AND AMENDMENT NO. 1206.
SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS O’DONNELL, CARE AND CARLTON VOTED TO INCLUDE ONLY AMENDMENT NO. 1206.)
The amendments adopted by the committee were combined as Amendment No. 1234 to A.B. 460.

SENATE BILL 481: Provides for reorganization of department of motor vehicles and public safety into two departments. (BDR 43-1107)
SENATOR AMODEI MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 737 TO S.B. 481.
SENATOR CARLTON SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
