AN ACT relating to hazardous materials; authorizing a person to possess, use, manufacture,
purchase, install, transport or sell chlorofluorocarbons; providing that the
possession, use, manufacture, purchase, installation, transportation or sale of
chlorofluorocarbons does not subject a person or governmental entity to any
type of punitive action; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. Chapter 459
of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto a
1-2 new section to read as
follows:
1-3 1. Notwithstanding any other law, a person may
possess, use,
1-4 manufacture, purchase, install, transport or sell
chlorofluorocarbons.
1-5 2. The possession, use, manufacture, purchase,
installation,
1-6 transportation or sale of chlorofluorocarbons does not subject any
1-7 person, this state or any political subdivision of this state to
any penalty,
1-8 fine, retaliatory action or other punitive measure.
