AN ACT making an appropriation to Clark County for the support of the Nevada
Partnership for Homeless Youth; and providing other matters properly relating
thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state
general
1-2 fund to Clark County the sum
of $100,000 for the support of the Nevada
1-3 Partnership for Homeless
Youth.
1-4 2.
Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by
subsection 1
1-5 must not be committed for
expenditure after June 30, 2003, and reverts to
1-6 the state general fund as
soon as all payments of money committed have
1-7 been made.
1-8 3. The Nevada Partnership
for Homeless Youth shall:
1-9 (a) Establish and maintain records concerning the use of the money
1-10 appropriated by subsection 1
which conform to generally accepted
1-11 accounting practices; and
1-12 (b) Provide a written report to the Director of the Legislative
Counsel
1-13 Bureau for transmission to
the Legislative Commission on or before
1-14 January 1, 2003, which
clearly describes the expenditures made from the
1-15 money appropriated by
subsection 1 and their benefit to the state.
2-1 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and
approval.
