AN ACT making an appropriation to the legislative fund for certain maintenance and rehabilitation projects on the legislative building; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the legislative fund created by NRS 218.085 the sum of $817,740 for the

1-3  following maintenance and rehabilitation projects on the legislative

1-4  building:

1-5    1.  Rebuilding the west entry to the legislative building to remove the

1-6  roof over the first floor and enclose the entry;

1-7    2.  Maintaining and repairing the exterior surface of the legislative

1-8  building;

1-9    3.  Replacing the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system in the

1-10  Sedway Office Building;

1-11    4.  Adding computer control to the heating, ventilation and air-

1-12  conditioning system in the older section of the legislative building; and

1-13    5.  Resurfacing the floor of the main level of the parking garage.

1-14    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-15  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after the projects are

1-16  completed and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of

1-17  money committed have been made.

1-18    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
