AN ACT making an appropriation to the Clark County Public Education Foundation for the support and enhancement of public education in Clark County; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Clark County Public Education Foundation the sum of $250,000 for the

1-3  support and enhancement of public education in Clark County by

1-4  improving the quality of teaching and learning through programs designed

1-5  to improve the performance of pupils.

1-6    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-8  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9  committed have been made.

1-10    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
