AN ACT making supplemental appropriations to the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety for shortfalls in the budgets of the Division of Parole and Probation, Field Services, Central Services, Parole Board, the Division of Compliance Enforcement and the Hearings Office; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety the sum of $2,493 for

1-3  an unanticipated stale payroll claim of the Division of Parole and

1-4  Probation. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by section 27 of

1-5  chapter 571 of Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2984.

1-6    Sec. 2.  There is hereby appropriated from the state highway fund to

1-7  the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety the sum of $830,000

1-8  for an unanticipated shortfall in the money budgeted for new positions in

1-9  Field Services. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by section

1-10  29 of chapter 571 of Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2984.

1-11    Sec. 3.  There is hereby appropriated from the state highway fund to

1-12  the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety the sum of $230,000

1-13  for an unanticipated shortfall in the money budgeted for new positions in

1-14  Central Services. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by

1-15  section 29 of chapter 571 of Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2985.


2-1    Sec. 4.  There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to the

2-2  Parole Board of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety the

2-3  sum of $6,500 for a shortfall in salaries. This appropriation is supplemental

2-4  to that made by section 27 of chapter 571 of Statutes of Nevada 1999, at

2-5  page 2984.

2-6    Sec. 5.  There is hereby appropriated from the state highway fund to

2-7  the Division of Compliance Enforcement of the Department of Motor

2-8  Vehicles and Public Safety the sum of $62,000 for a shortfall caused by a

2-9  decrease in fingerprint revenues and by the payment of terminal leave. This

2-10  appropriation is supplemental to that made by section 29 of chapter 571 of

2-11  Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2985.

2-12    Sec. 6.  There is hereby appropriated from the state highway fund to

2-13  the Hearings Office of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public

2-14  Safety the sum of $15,000 for a shortfall caused by the payment of terminal

2-15  leave. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by section 29 of

2-16  chapter 571 of Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2984.

2-17    Sec. 7.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
