AN ACT relating to air pollution; authorizing certain authorized inspection stations to install, repair and adjust the ignition systems and fuel systems of certain motor vehicles; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. Chapter 445B of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto

1-2  a new section to read as follows:

1-3    An authorized inspection station that is rated by the department of

1-4  motor vehicles and public safety to inspect gasoline-powered motor

1-5  vehicles may install, repair and adjust the ignition system and fuel system

1-6  of any gasoline-powered motor vehicle other than a motor vehicle that

1-7  failed to pass its most recent inspection for the control of emissions.

1-8    Sec. 2.  NRS 445B.700 is hereby amended to read as follows:

1-9    445B.700  As used in NRS 445B.700 to 445B.845, inclusive, and

1-10  section 1 of this act, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and

1-11  terms defined in NRS 445B.705 to 445B.758, inclusive, have the meanings

1-12  ascribed to them in those sections.

 

 

2-1    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
