AN ACT making an appropriation to White Pine County for the preparation of a plan for the development and management of tourism assets within the proposed Great Basin National Heritage Area; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  White Pine County the sum of $75,000 to be disbursed to the Great Basin

1-3  Heritage Area Partnership for the preparation of a plan for the development

1-4  and management of tourism assets within the proposed Great Basin

1-5  National Heritage Area.

1-6    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-8  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9  committed have been made.

1-10    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
