AN ACT making appropriations to the Newlands Project Water Rights Fund and Truckee-Carson Irrigation District for certain expenses relating to water rights; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general
1-2 fund to the Newlands Project Water Rights Fund created by section 5 of
1-3 chapter 515, Statutes of Nevada 1999, at page 2633:
1-4 For the fiscal year 2001-2002.............. $105,940
1-5 For the fiscal year 2002-2003.............. $105,940
1-6 2. The sums appropriated by subsection 1 are available for either fiscal
1-7 year. Any balance of those sums must not be committed for expenditure
1-8 after June 30, 2003, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all
1-9 payments of money committed have been made.
1-10 Sec. 2. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund
1-11 to the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District for operating and maintenance
1-12 costs related to the sale of water rights for the Newlands Project:
1-13 For the fiscal year 2001-2002............. $325,000
1-14 For the fiscal year 2002-2003............. $325,000
1-15 2. The sums appropriated by subsection 1 are available for either fiscal
1-16 year. Any balance of those sums must not be committed for expenditure
1-17 after June 30, 2003, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all
1-18 payments of money committed have been made.
2-1 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
