AN ACT making an appropriation to Lincoln County for the improvement of the facilities at the fairgrounds in Panaca and for the acquisition of land and improvement of the facilities at the fairgrounds in Caliente; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  Lincoln County the sum of $399,250 to be used as follows:

1-3  For improvement of facilities at the fairgrounds in Panaca............. $136,250

1-4  For improvement of facilities at the fairgrounds
in Caliente.............................. $138,000

1-5  For acquisition of land necessary for the expansion of the

1-6  fairgrounds in Caliente........... $125,000

1-7    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-8  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-9  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-10  committed have been made.

1-11    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
