Assembly Bill No. 519–Committee on Ways and Means

AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Taxation for implementation of
Phase II of the Business Process Re-Engineering Project, development of a scanning and imaging system, and enhancement of the Local Government Financial Reporting System; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

   Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

 the Department of Taxation the sum of $2,175,000 to be allocated as

 follows:

   1.  For implementation of Phase II of the Business Process

Re-Engineering Project, the sum of........... $1,300,000

   2.  For development of a document scanning and imaging

system, the sum of...................................... $800,000

   3.  For enhancement of the Local Government Financial

 Reporting System, the sum of ............ $75,000

   Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

 committed have been made.

   Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
