AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Education for distribution of a grant of money to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust for carrying out the duties of the Council and continuing its educational programs; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Department of Education the sum of $75,000 for distribution of a grant

1-3  of money to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the

1-4  Holocaust created by NRS 233G.020 for carrying out the duties of the

1-5  Council and continuing its educational programs.

1-6    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-8  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9  committed have been made.

1-10    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
