AN ACT making an appropriation to the City of North Las Vegas for the support of Nevada Partners; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2 the City of North Las Vegas for disbursement to Nevada Partners for the

1-3 support of programs that help prepare unemployed and under-employed

1-4 persons to enter the work force and make significant contributions in

1-5 southern Nevada:

1-6 For the fiscal year 2001-2002 $650,000

1-7 For the fiscal year 2002-2003 $650,000

1-8 Sec. 2. The sums appropriated by section 1 of this act are available for

1-9 either fiscal year. Any balance of those sums must not be committed for

1-10 expenditure after June 30, 2003, and reverts to the state general fund as

1-11 soon as all payments of money committed have been made.

1-12 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
