AN ACT relating to substance abuse; making an appropriation to the administrative office of the courts for the establishment of programs of treatment for the abuse of alcohol or controlled substances in Carson City and Churchill, Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the administrative office of the courts for the establishment of programs of

1-3  treatment for the abuse of alcohol or controlled substances pursuant to

1-4  NRS 453.580 in the First, Third and Ninth Judicial Districts of the State of

1-5  Nevada which include Carson City and Churchill, Douglas, Lyon and

1-6  Storey counties:

1-7  For the fiscal year 2001-2002 $150,000

1-8  For the fiscal year 2002-2003 $150,000

1-9    Sec. 2.  Any balance of the sums appropriated by section 1 of this act

1-10  remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be committed

1-11  for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal years and reverts to

1-12  the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have

1-13  been made.

1-14    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
