Assembly RESOLUTION—Expressing appreciation to the staff of the Assembly and designating April 25, 2001, as Assembly Staff Appreciation Day.

 

1-1    Whereas, The Nevada Legislature undertakes an enormous task every

1-2  2 years in the performance of its legislative duties on behalf of the

1-3  residents of Nevada; and

1-4    Whereas, The smooth and efficient operation of the Nevada

1-5  Legislature is largely dependent upon the dedication and abilities of the

1-6  members of its staff; and

1-7    Whereas, Since the legislative session has been limited to 120 days,

1-8  many extra demands have been placed on the staff by requiring them to

1-9  learn and assimilate new skills at an accelerated rate and to process their

1-10  work even more efficiently; and

1-11    Whereas, The bill clerks, secretaries, sergeants at arms, and clerical

1-12  and support staff who serve as attachés of the Assembly have worked

1-13  diligently and efficiently in their service to the members of the Assembly;

1-14  now, therefore, be it

1-15    Resolved by the Assembly of the State of Nevada, That the

1-16  members of the Assembly of the 71st session of the Nevada Legislature do

1-17  hereby express their sincere appreciation and commend the outstanding

1-18  support staff of the Assembly, which includes Harle Glover, Patty

2-23    Resolved, That April 25, 2001, is hereby designated as Assembly Staff

2-24  Appreciation Day in recognition of the dedicated and excellent service the

2-25  staff of the Assembly has provided to the members of the Assembly and to

2-26  the residents of this state; and be it further

2-27    Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly prepare and transmit

2-28  a copy of this resolution to each member of the Assembly staff who is

2-29  commended in this resolution.
