     Amend section 1, page 1, line 8, by deleting “a” and inserting “[a] each”.

     Amend section 1, page 1, line 15, by deleting “a firearm” and inserting:

“[a] each firearm”.

     Amend sec. 3, page 4, line 26, by deleting:

“October 1, 2001” and inserting “July 1, 2002”.

     Amend the bill as a whole by adding a new section designated sec. 4, following sec. 3, to read as follows:

“Sec. 4. This act becomes effective on July 1, 2002.”.
