AN ACT relating to gaming; authorizing a facility that provides social or recreational
activities for senior citizens to conduct bingo under certain circumstances;
and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. NRS 463.0152
is hereby amended to read as follows:
1-2 463.0152 [“Game”]
1-3 1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2,
“game” or
1-4 “gambling game” means any
game played with cards, dice, equipment or
1-5 any mechanical, electromechanical
or electronic device or machine for
1-6 money, property, checks,
credit or any representative of value, including,
1-7 without [limiting the generality of the foregoing,] limitation,
faro, monte,
1-8 roulette, keno, bingo,
fan-tan, twenty-one, blackjack, seven-and-a-half, big
1-9 injun, klondike, craps,
poker, chuck-a-luck, Chinese chuck-a-luck (dai
1-10 shu), wheel of fortune,
chemin de fer, baccarat, pai gow, beat the banker,
1-11 panguingui, slot machine,
any banking or percentage game , or
any other
1-12 game or device approved by
the commission . [, but]
1-13 2. “Game” or “gambling game” does not include [games]
:
1-14 (a) Games played with cards in private
homes or residences in which no
1-15 person makes money for
operating the game, except as a player . [, or
1-16 games]
1-17 (b) Bingo played in a
facility that provides social or recreational
1-18 programs or activities for senior citizens in which no person makes
1-19 money for operating the game, except as a player.
1-20 (c) Games operated by charitable or
educational organizations which
1-21 are approved by the board
pursuant to the provisions of NRS 463.409.
2-1 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
