AN ACT relating to gaming; requiring the secretary of state to include on the ballot for the next general election advisory questions relating to an increase in the state license fee based upon the highest tier of the gross revenue of gaming licensees; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1.  The Secretary of State shall include on the ballot for the

1-2  general election held on November 5, 2002, the following advisory

1-3  questions in substantially the following form:

 

1-4       Should the Legislature of the State of Nevada increase by 2 percent the

1-5  state license fee on that portion of a gaming licensee’s gross revenue that

1-6  exceeds $134,000 per calendar month?

1-7  Yes  ٱ             No  ٱ

1-8       Should the Legislature of the State of Nevada increase by 4 percent the

1-9  state license fee on that portion of a gaming licensee’s gross revenue that

1-10  exceeds $134,000 per calendar month?

1-11  Yes  ٱ             No  ٱ

1-12      Should the Legislature of the State of Nevada increase by 6 percent the

1-13  state license fee on that portion of a gaming licensee’s gross revenue that

1-14  exceeds $134,000 per calendar month?
