AN ACT making an appropriation to the Division of Child and Family Services of
the Department of Human Resources to provide medical assistance to adopted
children with special needs under certain circumstances; and providing other
matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. There is
hereby appropriated from the state general fund to
1-2 the Division of Child and
Family Services of the Department of Human
1-3 Resources to provide medical
assistance to adopted children with special
1-4 needs which are not
discovered until after the adoption:
1-5 For the fiscal year 2001-2002 $268,740
1-6 For the fiscal year 2002-2003 $315,264
1-7 Sec. 2. The sums appropriated by section 1 of this act are
available for
1-8 either fiscal year. Any
balance of those sums must not be committed for
1-9 expenditure after June 30,
2003, and reverts to the state general fund as
1-10 soon as all payments of
money committed have been made.
1-11 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
