AN ACT making an appropriation to the Division of Forestry of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the creation of regional strike teams to assist in the suppression of fires; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Division of Forestry of the State Department of Conservation and

1-3  Natural Resources the sum of $250,000 for use by the division in creating

1-4  regional strike teams to assist in suppressing fires in northern and central

1-5  Nevada.

1-6    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-7  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-8  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-9  committed have been made.

1-10    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
