AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Prisons to establish a program for obtaining and storing electronic fingerprints and digital photographs for use in transferring and releasing prisoners; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to
1-2 the Department of Prisons the sum of $149,750 to develop a system for
1-3 obtaining and storing electronic fingerprints and digital photographs for
1-4 use in transferring and releasing prisoners.
1-5 Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1
1-6 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and
1-7 reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money
1-8 committed have been made.
1-9 Sec. 3. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
