AN ACT making an appropriation to the Bill of Rights Institute to provide training for teachers in this state who teach courses in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to

1-2  the Bill of Rights Institute the sum of $40,000 to provide training for

1-3  teachers in this state who teach courses in the United States Constitution

1-4  and the Bill of Rights.

1-5    Sec. 2.  Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1

1-6  of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 2003, and

1-7  reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money

1-8  committed have been made.

1-9    Sec. 3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
