AN ACT relating to nursing; prohibiting the state board of nursing or an employer of a nurse from requiring the inclusion of the surname of the nurse on the badge or other form of identification worn by the nurse while on duty; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. Chapter 632 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto a

1-2  new section to read as follows:

1-3    The board, or a medical facility or any other person who employs a

1-4  licensee, shall not require a licensee while on duty, to wear a badge or

1-5  other form of identification that includes the surname of the licensee.

1-6    Sec. 2.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2001.
