AN ACT relating to the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety; requiring the Department to enter into certain interlocal contracts to provide services for the registration of motor vehicles in Boulder City and in and around Overton; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1    Section 1. 1.  The Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles and

1-2  Public Safety shall, upon the agreement of all parties, enter into an

1-3  interlocal contract pursuant to NRS 277.180 with:

1-4    (a) The City Council of Boulder City, Nevada, to provide services in

1-5  Boulder City for the registration of motor vehicles.

1-6    (b) The Board of County Commissioners of Clark County to provide

1-7  services in and around Overton, Nevada, for the registration of motor

1-8  vehicles.

1-9    2.  The department shall enter into negotiations for such contracts as

1-10  soon as practicable after the effective date of this act.

1-11    Sec. 2.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
